Housing Australia Future Fund grants a positive step forward

Believe Housing Australia has welcomed the Federal Government’s approval of 185 housing projects in the first round of grants distributed through the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF).

Believe Housing Australia Executive General Manager, Stacey Northover, said the greenlighting of more than 13,700 homes was a positive step towards the government’s plan to build 40,000 in the first five years of the HAFF.

“We (BHA) stand ready to be part of the delivery of affordable housing and welcome this momentous step forward to bring more homes to those who need it,” Ms Northover said.

“With this first round of funding allocated, it is pleasing to see that the Federal Government plans to release the second round of allocations within the next six months,” Ms Northover said.
