Intensive Tenancy Support

Our Intensive Tenancy Support team works with tenants who may be at risk of eviction due to the state of their home. We try and intervene early so that property conditions don’t become extreme. We work alongside tenants to support them in dealing with clutter, dirt and grime, and learning fundamental life skills, such as cleaning and organising. Sometimes tenants are dealing with mental health issues or are survivors of domestic violence, substance abuse and other issues. Our goal in working with these tenants is to remove any risk of eviction as soon as possible, and to support them to get the rest of their lives back on track too. We can also refer tenants to other support providers for long term support and stabilisation.

Family Counselling

The team provides a range of services for couples, families and individuals with the aim of strengthening families and ensuring the wellbeing of children. The Counsellors are trained professionals who can assist with a wide variety of issues.

Financial Counselling

Believe Housing Australia, through AnglicareSA, can help you take control of your finances and support you to receive proper financial entitlements. We do this by providing financial counselling and literacy services, and a no interest loan scheme.

Financial counselling and literacy

AnglicareSA’s financial counsellors provide financial education and can help you work towards a stable financial future. Financial counsellors can also contact creditors, advocating on your behalf, to establish affordable payment plans for outstanding bills. Financial counselling is open to anyone.

No Interest Loan Scheme

AnglicareSA’s No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) provides a no-interest loan for the purchase of essential household items, such as whitegoods and furniture. Participants must pay back the loan, but they are not charged interest. The service is available to people on low or fixed incomes who have a Centrelink concession card and who may not be eligible for a bank loan.
