In March 2022, Believe Housing Australia announced a $100M investment in social and affordable housing over the next 10 years. Our focus is on increasing housing stock in South Australia and maintaining and upgrading existing homes. We are about creating communities, not just housing, and we are committed to continue to partner with government and other providers to drive up the number of affordable homes available to those in need. Safe, secure, well-located housing is fundamental to people moving out of crisis, building independence and wellbeing, and leading a full life.

Mansfield Park

Our high-quality development at Mansfield Park, worth $14M, is now complete and ready for occupancy. It offers 37 new social and affordable homes to those in need. The development includes 10 three-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom homes, along with six two-bedroom Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes built to Improved Liveability standards. Each home features off-street parking and private internal courtyards. The site also offers lovely, shared open spaces with walking loops, and community gardens.

In the south, we have an $11M development underway which will offer 23 new homes, including eight fully accessible apartments. Features include lift access to upper floors, a community garden, and onsite resident car parking. These homes will house older people, youth leaving care, and people with disability, and the estimated move-in date is mid 2024.

Woodville West

Believe Housing Australia has released an $11M development in Woodville West, which includes 30 new homes – six Over 55s Villas and 24 Youth, SDA and Affordable Apartments. The SDA apartments are designed to ‘Improved Liveability’ standard. Features include lift access to upper floors, a community garden, and onsite resident car parking. These homes are close to public transport, shopping centres and other local facilities.
